Burning Question

I have a 4 year old pc which has a dvd writer but not sure if i can burn double layer dvd's. Can some1 enlighten me on how to find out if i can

What drive is it? Make and model.

Frankly I've never seen a DVD-RW that can't burn dual layer DVDs. But as the above poster said make or model would help.
