Burning too much

The past few hours I have been trying to burn 13 6 min. DVDs one after another. After 2 or 3 my burner stops working and I need to reboot. Os this because I am burning too many at a time or what?

Burning video onto dvd blanks does draw heavily on the supply and system reasources. But you could also be seeing a problem with the software used and possible heat problems the drive itself is seeing. When simply burning more then one vcd(video on cd-r) or a few copies of the free Linux drive tool GParted 35mb in size the free program will hang after a few a good burns. The quick use of the system file checker having the XP disk in the drive corrects that on the spot for some reason.

If you are only seeing what appears to be a power loss when burning it's likely something going on the drive itself. For problems at other times then you would have to start looking at a possible supply problem. But repeat burning seeing problems would seem to point at the drive more there.
