Burnt Out Power Supply?

I was trying to diagnose a problem with my video card fan, and in the process I turned the computer on and off several times within short periods of each other (i.e. turn on, 10 seconds - turn off). I know that is not good for your computer, but when I finally put it back together, a faint burning smell came from I think the power supply - did I kill it? The power supply is only a couple months old. Any suggestions or condemnations are greatly appreciated.

ya, dont turn it on.
it probably on its last leg and rady to go.

tell me what the smell smells like.
i know its hard to tell me that, but i can probably say it a transister, or something like that. because burning electronics have their own little stinky smells
