Buttos broken - program solution?

Hello,

I have an ASUS A6R notebook and the following problems:

1)

When it runs in battery mode the screen gets too dark. To make it lighter is not possible because the relevant keyboardbuttons (FN+F5/F6) are broken.

Is it possible to readjust FN+F5/F6 to other buttons?
Or is there a programm to regulate brightness?

I have tried windows standards but found nothing.

2) The left arrow and tab sometimes activate themselves makeing a huger mess of text data. Even cleaning doesnt work.

Is it possible to disable the buttons?

under your power settings, you should be able to tell it not to dim the LCD when running on battery

yeah,did this in the bios. now it doesnt dim to nearback but still to darkgrey..
