buy a iphone 3G of my friend

my friend has an iphone 3g goign really cheap £100 but i want to know whether the new software the link below will support it

it says the 3g wont support multi tasking but then it says "Developers will have access to seven multitasking services" so will normal users beable to use the multi tasking services?
 
No, multitasking will not be available on the the 3G. However, I know that in the US the 3GS is super cheap right now, because Apple is getting ready to announce the newest iPhone
 
The only way to get multitask is if you are a developper of apps or such. Now you can get multi task if you jail break the iphone though
