buy XP upgrade or full?

I'm building a new computer and I want to run XP pro, but I'm not sure if I can get away with the upgrade version. It's a new computer so it wont have a old version on it but, I have a old WIN98 cd laying around. Could I use that cd for this install?....the only problem is that I'm not sure what the CD key is.

I would recommend to buy the full version especially on a new computer. You can proberly get a decent price on a OEM full windows xp if you buy it with hardware.

You will need the CD key, there might be some way to go about obtaining it legally

get the full, the upgrade is if u had a previous vers of windows installed, which u dont b/c this is a new build!
