I have a computer that has 1.1 usb's on it but I need 2.0 for some devices. Can I just buy a usb hub thats a 2.0 and thats backwards compatibile with 1.1 and that will in turn make it 2.0 speeds. Or do I need to buy a 2.0 usb pci card to make it all high speed. Hope this makes sense to somebody. Thank You.

You can't just plug a usb 2.0 hub into a usb 1.1 slot though - everything will just run at usb 1.1 speeds then. Am I just reading the question stupidly?...

If I'm not then you need to buy a pci card which will have the usb 2.0 slots on it. Your usb 1.1 slots will always be usb 1.1 though, unless you can physically plug them into the new card.
