Alright, trying to make my mind up on one of this computers.

Motherboard: Intel® Desktop Board DP55KG
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-860 Processor (8M Cache, 2.80 GHz)
VGA: VTX 3D ATI RADEON HD 5450 2GB DDR3 DVI HDMI VGA HEAT SINK
or
VGA: GeForce GT 430.
Ram: 4GB Kingston DDR3

is this computer good, and which VGA is the best for gaming?
and is this component are compatibles or not, and how much will this computer cost me?

thanks alot for reading my thread :D

Neither video card is particularly good for gaming, but the GT430 is better than the 5450, I believe.

The processor is great for gaming, but both of those video cards will seriously hold it back.

However, without knowing the specs on the rest of the system, we can't really tell you if it's "good" or not. For all we know it could be some crappy OEM machine with an anemic power supply and slow hard drive, you know?

thx for replying my friend,

give me a name for video card that good for gaming, and is this component good or not, which one would u prefer to change to make the computer better on performance.

On the Nvidia side, a GTX 460 or better would be a good match for that graphics card. I'd look for a least the 1GB 460. Here's a list of them, starting with the least powerful and going up:

GTX 460 768MB
GTX 460 1GB
GTX 465 (a castrated 470...I'd avoid it)
GTX 470
GTX 480 (get the 580 instead of this if you can)
GTX 580

On the AMD/ATI side, I'd look for a Radeon HD5800 or HD6800 series. In terms of power-

5830
6850
5850
6870
5870
5970

Telling me your hard disk is 500GB doesn't tell me much...that's like asking me to judge how good your car is by just knowing how many cylinders it has. An Audi R8 and an old busted Camaro IROC both have V8's, you know?

If you can, tell me the make and model of:

- Motherboard
- Power supply unit (PSU)
- Hard Drive

ok, this is for the video card, now, what about the hard disk type and the ram type and the case type, i think the case will be a heavy duty case.

which hard disk is the best and the same for ram, is the kingstone good or not !?

The motherboards seems alright, if a bit spartan. Interesting design, for sure. There are definitely better boards out there but I doubt that one is going to die on you.

For the Hard drive, the best ones available in terms of price for performance are Samsung's Spinpoint F3 drives and Western Digital's Caviar Black drives.

As for the power supply, what's available to you? There are a bunch of good units on the market, but availability varies widely on them across the globe, and going by your user name, I'm guessing you aren't in the US, lol.

edit: Kingston usually makes decent RAM, no worries there. The only ones you should really avoid are OCZ and random no-name brands.

hehehehehe. u are right, I'm from Middle East/Palestine
thx alot for ur cooperation :D

what u prefer for the power-supply and the ram, if u want to buy a desktop like this, (and i'm sure u wont even hold it, because this computer is nothing :P :P)

by the way, what is OCZ mean :P

No problem man. :) :good:

OCZ is a brand of memory/RAM. Not all OCZ is bad, mostly the "gold" line, but a few others had issues as well.

The best ones to look for are Corsair, G.Skill, Mushkin, Crucial, Geil, and Team Group.

As for the power supply, look for something around 500W or more by one for the following brands:

Corsair
Antec
Seasonic
XFX
Silverstone
NZXT (Hale90 line only)
Enermax
PC Power and Cooling
Superflower (Golden Green units only)

Your power supply is the most important part of your system. A bad one will likely either kill your system very slowly with bad quality power, or kill it very quickly when it goes out all at once. Bad ones often don't have any kind of overcurrrent/overvoltage/short circuit protection, so when they die, it's likely that they'll take other components with them. Cheap ones also usually can't provide the power that they claim.

u know what, the power-supply is the only one we regret and don't care what it should be.
this is unbelievable info, thx a lot dude.
the last thing i would ask, is the kingstone good or not, would u prefer to get one of the brands u listed here or the kingstone good?
