Buying a new laptop in the store itself?

Hi,
I need to buy a new laptop on saturday. I cant order it as i need it for monday.
Is it still ok to go into say PC world and buy a laptop there?....everyone seems to only order laptops over the internet now?
Will the laptops bought from going into a store be of lower quality than laptops bought over the internet?
 
The advantage of online is you can get whatever customized build specs you want, and there's a larger selection.

Just pick the best specs from what's available. I bought my first laptop at Best Buy in like 2006 (Gateway MX6959) but it's still hanging in there
