Buying a Wifi for Desktop Computers

Hey All,

I have only ever used the Ethernet cable in a PC.

Can anyone reccomend me any good wifi adapters I can buy for the PC? Are they any good? Reliable? My PC is on virtually 24/7.

The Intel ones are fairly good from what I've heard.

Just out of curiosity, if you have access to a good wired ethernet connection, why buy a wifi adapter?

the question was having only used ethernet connections, had no idea what to go for for Wireless NICs. Im assuming the situation would not be good for a wired nic to do the job easily.

Anyone please correct me if im wrong.

But in 99% of situations. The Wired connection is ALWAYS Going to be faster than the wireless connection.

But if you wanted a good wireless card, I just ordered one of these and i have heard very good things, plus its on sale right now for like $20 Off.

For your requirements I rather stay with brand like cisco, lynksys and dlink. These brands also has USB wifi adapter which for easier to deploy.
