Buying and Adding RAM to an HP Desktop Computer

EGS

Hi guys,

I feel like a complete n00b. :o I want to buy more RAM and install it myself on my HP Pavilion Media Center PC (m7767c), but I don't know which RAM to buy because I want it to support my motherboard and work properly with the 2GB of RAM that came stock on my computer.

I'd like to purchase the fastest and best type of RAM that will be compatible with my PC and motherboard, as well as keep my current 2GB of RAM for optimized performance.

Please suggest me what kind of RAM I can, the max/best I can get, how I can install it, and how to set it up so it works with my current RAM.

Thank you.. :o

This is the manual for your motherboard from the HP website...

its appears 240 pin DDR2 is what will work with your machine up to 667 mhz

assuming this is alll correct, these are your options from newegg.com

i would select...($25)
