buying cd keys

Is there any online store where I can buy a windows vista cd key w/o having to buy it in a box? (just the cd key)

The only place you'd find Vista is on eBay. Nowhere else sells it anymore.

Why do you need vista anyways? Anything that can run vista can run 7 or 8.
