buying CPU

but i am wondering if it will work with my comp. I got a pentium III 463 megahertz CPU right now. Will this work with it or not?

no it wont, if you want that cpu, then youll need a new motherboard too

How come? Do only pentiums work with the pentium type motherboards or somrthing? So if i got a new pentium would that work?

The pentium 3 uses a different socket than that celeron, you may even have a slot processor

S*** has MANY pins that you can chance bending, Slot has 1 connector, split into 2 sides, like a PCI card, all you need to do with that is line it up and push it down.
