Buying New Desktop- input wanted.

My lab top just died. So I'm getting a dell desktop. I'm new to buying computers (last one I got for my birthday) and my family isn't so keen on it either (points to dead lab top)

Here's what I need this computer for.
Requirements:
Runs decently fast- downloading pictures and websites
monitor of average size (15 inch +)
Must be compatible with Maple story (online game)
Itunes
Microsoft student, yadda yadda
DVDs and CDs
Wacom, photoshop
online videos
Budget: $1,400.00 (absolute)


I'm looking at either Dell inspiron 530s XP or dell inspiron 530s Vistas (quite honestly I don't know the difference)
any comments appreciated.

Dell is a big 'No'
The best way is build it yourself.
If you don't want to build, just go for other customise PC, e.g. avadirect.com ibuypower.com, but not dell.

I agree for $1400 you can get a much better system (using industry standard, upgradable parts.) IbuyPower is good, so is systemax, something like this would be an excellent buy IMO.
