Yes, they should all be compatible however.......

-I haven't heard good things about that other PSU, so change it to this http://www.mwave.com.au/product/corsair-cx600m-modular-bronze-power-supply-ab48195

-And instead of getting a uATX (Mini-atx) motherboard you should get a regular one. Here's one for less while still maintaining the same color scheme: http://www.mwave.com.au/product/asus-h87pro-motherboard-ab49658

-If you have extra money I'd recommenced spending it on a 750 or 700 PSU or an SSD.

If you want a REALLY good PSU under a decent price,I would take Corsair AX series CP-9020044-EU professional platinum series of 860 W! :P
It's also modular so that can come in handy.

The AX series is good but the CX series are much cheaper and all you need. The CX M series are semi-modular too. :)

For the price the AX860 is pretty much overkill. There are good power supplies that will run this system even with overhead a lot cheaper. But instead of 600W, I would probably go with a 750W. A little overhead is always a good idea.

I wouldn't, a 600W is plenty. And when op decides to upgrade down the line, parts will be more efficient so it's not like he'll need more watts.

But anyways, a CX600M and ATX board will be great.

For board, maybe a Z87X UD3H.

What kind of statement is that! Get your facts right. You know back when a FX 60/62 was the high end CPU? Running a high end video card at the time (like a X1900), the average wattage under load was around 250W for the whole system. Now just a R9 290X which is a high end card now, by itself under load can pull 250W.

Honestly, a 600W PSU is plenty for the R9 280X at the moment. No need to go 700+W unless you want to get another one.

I run my 5870 on a 650W PSU and that is a more power-hungry graphics card than the R9 280X.

Your card only pulls more at idle. That's only because the way the 280X can power down. Under full load the 280X pulls more watts. Besides the point I'm making. I never do a build with a just fits right power supply. Just going CF is overloading the PSU. The CX is not that good of a supply. People here constantly suggest PSU with very little overhead to meet a cost price. A 650W quality supply would be perfect here, the reason I don't suggest one is, most of the time you can get a 750 for very little price difference.

Overhead is good yes but I wouldn't say that the 280X with a 600W is "just enough". It requires a 500w supply based on Newegg so a 600 would be plenty even with some overhead.

You misunderstand. Cards are getting more efficiant for the power they have. A 5570 is as powerful as a X1900, but uses 45W, instead of the 100W+ the X1900 uses.

Newegg!. If you look on Sapphire site it says you need a 750W. Which is alittle overkill, But like I said a 650W would be good but you can find deals on a 750W just about as cheap.

What! So to prove your point, your going to compare a todays lowend card to yesterdays highend card. Yeah, right. Then a ATI 9600 Pro uses like 20W under load which wasn't even a very lowend card in its day.
