BY Pass secured Folder

I had a secured folder on my laptop, the motherboard died on it and I have taken out the hard drive and put it in a external dock, all my files are safe except now I cannot open my secured folder it tells me access denied.

Is there anyways I can open this folder?
 
right click on the folder>properties>security>advanced>owner>edit>select user>apply

thats for 7 and simple file sharing is off
