Hi,
Just did a fresh reinstall.
Now when I emerge from "hibernate", it takes me to the "to begin, click your user name" page. As the title states, I wish to bypass "to begin, click your user name", & go straight to my desktop.
I searched for answers, but none work. I know it can be done, because that's that way it worked before the reinstall.
Some of the methods I tried & had to reset afterwards:
run > control userpasswords2 > "uncheck" users must enter a user name & password to use this computer > do & don't enter password (should I delete administrator account with my name or or administrator? Afraid I'll mess something up!)
control panel > power options > advanced > "uncheck" prompt for password when computer resumes from standby
control panel > user Accounts > change the way users log on or off > "uncheck" use the welcome screen
thx
