C2D and X2 comparison

OK, so i know that C2D is the way to go, but would it be better to get a e6300 than getting a X2 5000+? I am a little confused at how everything compares to each other. Maybe some could make some kind of list starting with the best processor and working down to the worst. Obviously don't include every single processor out there but just the C2D's and the X2's. If anyone could do this it would be awesome!

CPU Charts
It's definately cheaper to get a E6300 instead of a X2 5000.

not faster though :D

basically the core 2 duo is 12-25% better per clock except for memory bandwidth.
generally core 2 duo is better for most applications. but, at 2.6ghz the 5000+ would be much faster than the e6300. if you get the e6600 it'll be better than the FX-62 in most apps :D
