C2D Bus speed differance?

Hi,

i was looking on Ebuyer and noticed these diffrent Core 2 duos...the e6300 and the e4300

Now when i had a closer look at their specs i noticed that they both have 2Mb of L2 cache and they both run at 1.86Ghz.

Now my question is....
The e4300 Bus Speed is 800 MHz,Where the e6300 is 1066 MHz.

Would the differance bus speeds between these 2 processors be much diffrent from each other performance wise?
Would you notice it?

Because the e4300 is cheaper :)

Yes, your looking at about a 66mhz increase in the FSB with the 1066mhz bus. Thats a pretty good performance increase. That and thats just stock, im sure it could OC to near 300mhz if not more, which is way fast.

THe e4300 is essentially the same chip as the e6300 but without intels Virtualization tech. The fsb has been reduced and a larger multiplier has been applied to make it more compatible with lower speed RAM, But you can just set the FSB to 266 and lower the multiplier to 7 and it essentially be an e6300. I'd go with the 4300.

True, im not sure what the price difference is on them, but if its not much, id just go with the higher just in case you OCed the other one and something went wrong.

the e4300 costs like 115 while the e6300 costs like 170. kinda big difference. The only thing is that for 170 you could also get an e6320.

however, the e4300 looks pretty good. if it had 4 mb cache, i def would have gotten that myself.

I think the price dif is somewhere around (or more than) $50 bucks. Not alot but i'd still choose the e4300. I can't think of any reason why the e4300 wouldn't perform up to it's name (cept stepping)

lol. i think a 50 dollar difference is a lot. the e6300 is like 150% the price of the e4300. but i understand what you mean, when you're building a "high end" system worth like 1000, you start to lose sight of how much a few groups of ten dollars really amount to.

Yea, if i was already spending lots of money on something, $50 wouldnt seem like a big gap. But $100 certainly would be enough to make me turn my head.
