Cable Splitter for Tv Tuner Card

I recently purchased a tv tuner card, and I have a tv right by my computer, and only one cable outlet from the wall. I'm using a cable splitter so that both the tv and the tuner card will be able to watch tv.

My only question, is will there be any quality loss? (I heard that there will be unless a certain type of splitter is used, does anyone know if this is true?

Quality.. Don't spend $.99 cents on it and you will be fine. The difference will hardly be noticeable, but yes a drop.
