My brother in-law installed a program called CachemanXP on my computer. all I know is: it works with your ram, to use more hardware memory other then internal memory can anybody else explain to me further what this program does?

Should I work with the settings or pitch this program?

I might overclock my ram too could this present a problem?

i don't know excactly what you mean by internal memory and hardware memory but this kind of programs usually are crap. Just a load of bull that doesnt work. It's just another program using your memory i think.

If you really want to overclock your memory don't do it with software (if that's even possible). And by the looks of your knowledge about computers just don't overclock at all. It's not that easy to maintain a computer that's oc'd. Anyways if you really want to overclock i suggest you start reading things about it first. Then try it on some crappy machine and then on the computer or using now.

Back to the CachemanXP. My advice is to get rid of it as soon as you can. I wouldn't want on my pc at least.
