CAD workstation problems

At work my computer
Win. 2000, 512MB RAM, 2GB virtual memory,
32.6GB free space, Primary program used is
AutoCad ADT 2004.

Recently I’ve been receiving low virtual memory warning.
I’ve modeled far larger jobs without this warning so I can eliminate
That issue.
I did a MemTest overnight, no errors found but I could only scan 300MB
Of fiscal memory so 53MB plus the total amount of memory used by tasks
Was not scanned.

This computer seems to go into a mental retardation mode (no offence to anyone) Opening another program takes about 3min. or executing a task
In AutoCad such as switching to hidden or shaded mode will take forever

Could this be the GPU, it’s a GeForce2 MX/MX400 64MB

Yes I would say it's your graphics card. I can't believe you can actually run AutoCad on that thing. The whole system seems rather dated to be running CAD 2004 IMO.
