Call of Duty 4 freezing up.

Do you guys have encountered technical problems while playing COD4? 'cause mine freezes up after finishing some missions in the game. It freezes up so bad that I had to restart my PC. And the odd thing is that when I tried to resume the mission to where i got problems with, it freezes up. I tried to create another profile and it was ok after several hours of gameplay then it freezes up again on another different mission. Im starting to get pissed This my fourth attempt of creating another profile and the freezing problem is there. Im playing it with my rig in my sig....i really wanted to finish the game so pls. help...

Is the gameplay smooth? or does it glitch? Cause it could be that your system can't handle the game.

the game is smooth, im running it at optimal settings,...then it just freezes up..

the minimum system req. is an athlon 2800+ for the cpu does that mean that my sempron cant handle it? causing the freezing up?

Maybe it is your processor,Or it could be that your system is getting hot.

Instead of choosing optimal, put everything on as low as possible and try that.

If you still have no luck do what Shane said, check your temps.

I had it working now so far....i updated my nvidia driver from 163.75 to 169.09 and everything seems good...

nope don't think so, i got pulled back by my processor..but it will probably run better than yours not considering the amount of ram you have...

i got it fixed already,..just updated the video card drivers and everything went ok
