call of duty2 and quake4

i have bought a pc with a 2hdd raid and a sli of two 7800gt graphic cards and call of duty 2 and quake4 wont play the splash screen comes up but the game doesnt load ,
call of duty2 multiplayer works for a while then it crashes and says directx has a problem and needs to close my directx version is 9.0c please help
 
Latest drivers for the 7800s?

System may be getting too hot

What are specs o rest of system.
CPU, Ram, Motherboard

the cpu is amd 4000+ 1gb ram ecs knl sli motherboard i have the latest graphic drivers 81.85 the pc is not getting hot it runs at 28c idl and 38c loaded multiplayer plays on call of duty but crashes with directx problem but single player wont even show as running in task manager
 
Hmmm

Heya I would also suggest reinstalling DirectX. However, I have never been able to repair the problems through a different technique but to fully reinstall the entire OS. I hope that you will be able to do so otherwise.

thanks but i only downloaded directx 9.0c yesturday from windows update so i think it is the latest version ,
so you think i have to reinstall windows and that should fix it please reply
 
just try to reinstall directx 9.0c from quake4 cd, because i think u have problem with directx9.0c. reinstalling windows will take alot of time and it might not help u.
 
tryed installing directx from quake4 but the game still wont load
on call of duty2 directx says its got an unrecoverable error and the game crashes do you think it could be something to do with the sli or raid
