calling all Mac users

any body used idvd08 here ?
i was trying to do a project last night but apparently adding 2 movies (in avi format) filled up my 4gb dvdr and totaled to 8.something GB.
any ideas how do i squeeze the movies or what proper format i shud use ?

anyone ?

i haven't try normal vob files from dvd but will try later
