Calling Gigabyte Owners

I just reinstalled Vista and I can't remember the order that I installed sound drivers. I looked on Gigabytes web site and DL'ed the two they have on there. But my sound doesn't work, I remember there being something else... That told you what speakers were plugged in and such.

Any ideas? Thanks!

you wouldn't have to install the drivers in any sort of order... but i would contact gigabyte and ask if they can supply you with some vista drivers.

I have the two sound drivers off my Mobos Page, but my sound still doesn't work, what else do you think I need?

Sounds like you are another victim of high definition sound problem. You should have an item called "high definition audio controller" under system devices. If you don't thats why your sound won't install.

check in your bios that your onboard sound is enabled than install your drivers,
also go into device manager and see if you there is a ? or X anywhere try uninstaling it restart than reinstall

I DL'ed that... Thanks.

But still no sound, This is the program I'm after, any ideas where to get it?

EDIT:

I've installed both Audio Drivers off this page;

http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support/Motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=2457

and I'm trying this one now;

that is the realtek sound mixer, it comes with the realtek driver. if you installed the realtek driver and didnt get any sound, try installing Microsoft's UAA (Universal Audio Architecture i think) first, then install the realtek drivers. This was an issue with XP, idk about Vista though.
