can a nibbler cut through plastic window?

I have a case that has a side window without fan mounting options and am trying to find a way to put a 120mm and 80mm hole in the side so i can mount some. The problem I am having is that here in Korea I cant seem to find hole saws or a dremal tool for the life of me. I was wondering if a nibbler would work to cut a somewhat decent looking hole in the side of the plexiglass since I have never used one before. I have looked at home depots site to find their cheapest dremal and after shipping it is more than i want to spend.

Oh right, Well, I guess it would work... It'd be hard and time consuming, it may not be as neat too.

Keep a file handy so you can 'nibble' :P less than you need and then neatly file the rest away, you'll get a nice edge then.

LOL im almost to the point of just buying a file, drilling a starter hole and filing away 120mm of plastic. Man I wish they had a walmart in korea!

Lol! That's allways an option :P

Walmart is a company owned by ASDA, an company based in the UK... I don't know why I said that

Couldn't you buy a dremel online??? I bought one, the dremel and 250 accerories for $50, that is really cheap

By the way, are you really running that FX Processor and 8800GTS All on a 250watt PSU?
*edit*
oh nevermind, I see the 400 someodd watt PSU you have as well.
What's the difference between the 2? :P
why do you have them both listed?

MY main psu is a crappy 430 watt unit. The seconed psu listed is a thermaltake power express, which is a video card only power supply that sits in your 5 1/2 drive bay.

Remember that watts isn't allways better! I got a 400 watt with my case and I bough an Antec 380 watt and it's a lot better!

here is a link to one : http://www.xoxide.com/nibbler.html

I realize that it says it will cut plastic but i was just wondering if anyone had actuality done it and what the results were fairly nice looking.

Im sorry,.. but i wouldnt even cut paper with that thing, thats one of those tools you cant trust as far as you can throw them. (I broke my hand once because i used a crappy tool, it snapped, so maybe im a bit too carefull tough)

either way, I wouldn risk it, side windows are usualy made from pretty hard plastic, so you run the danger of it snapping.

Oh wow.....when I first read the topic, I thought highrev15k was worried a pet or something, such as a gerbil, would get through something by "nibbling"(lol) on it. I had no idea what was going on until the 3rd post. :D :P

Anyways, I'm going to agree with Archangel coming to the fact that I've seen someone use a tool very simliar to cut something out of a PS2 game case. It didn't work very well at all. And enough people know how cheap game case plastic is.
