can an ASUS 1600 pro go crossfire?

Im wondering if a ASUS x1600 pro 512mb card can run crossfire with a x1650pro 512mb. I seem to remember when I bought the computer that the guy said it couldnt. Can anyone clear this up?

I am almost positive it cannot, it normally has to be at least the same model. Crossfire is a little less picky than SLI but I am pretty sure on this.

It says on the site that a 1650 can run with a 1600. Im just asking if this particular ASUS one can run with the regular x1650

Than check the asus website. What do you mean by regular?

I mean regular like made by ATI, not saphire or asus or anything

if its anything like SLI, then the cards might have to be from the same manufacturer aswell.
