Can anyone find this joystick?

Hi guys. About five years ago, I was at a convention and there was a flight sim stand. They were using these Awesome joysticks that, ya know looked pretty average, until they told me you could 'remove' the stick in your hand from the base and use it in 3d space, not pinned to the base.

Has anyone ever heard of this? I just remember it as being so cool and always wanted to buy one, but cannot remember the name.
