So recently i have been looking at gaming computers because y old one is crap. So i found this computer but i was wandering if you could tell me if the specs on this computer is good for $699

- NVIDIA GTX 650 1GB
- Intel Core i3 4330 CPU
- 8GB 1600MHz Memory
- 500GB 7200RPM HDD
- ASUS H81 Chipset Motherboard
- 430W Corsair CX Power Supply
- DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW
- Microsoft Windows 7

Thank you

Not at all. If you are looking at Craigslist for computers you are most likely going to get ripped off. If you are not, forgive me but that's what it looks like, or maybe Cyberpower/IBuyPower. Even boutiques are usually cheaper. Really you should build your own.

Agreed. You could build the same with 1TB, 500W, B85 chipset with front USB3 and a much better graphics card for the same price.

You can do anything yourself for cheaper, people still get a plumber in to fix a leak or a tiler to fix their roof because they don't know how and don't want to learn how or because they feel that it is worth paying someone else to do it rather than use their own time. When you price it up he is actually only pay an extra 60-80 dollars over the price to buy it all yourself, more than reasonable labour + shipping costs

Where is the computer from, what country are you in and what is your budget?

Obviously. I said it would be better to do it yourself, I never said he had to. Why do you warp stuff i say Aastii?

Obviously? you said it isn't good at all for the price, so obviously it is a fair price as I said in my response, or obviously it is not a good price at all as you wrongly claimed? I am not warping words I am responding to what you said and if that is not what you meant, read what you post in future and how it could be interpreted before clicking submit.

Rather than "Not at all", how about (If it is OBVIOUSLY a fair price), it is a good price for a pre-built system with those specs, but you can get better if you consider building it yourself.

I am not going any further into this in this thread. As in the other, drop me a PM if you want to discuss it further

For the money, that build looks 'about right' especially with windows rolled in...

not sure about the other suggestion, id be swapping the PSU, as its 800W of no name goodness...

I'm not going into it man. I stated its a bad deal FOR a pretty built. I never said its a bad deal BECAUSE its prebuilt.

Much better deal. 7850, similar if not better proc. Though still, if you can, build your own.

Its a good deal regardless.

I put the exact (or very similar) parts into newegg. Chose the cheapest option retail price for anything that wasn't exacting in spec (ie not specified).

For the parts listed in the OPs list, its $670. That's without a case, setup, delivery or anything else.

I would suggest its a damn good deal in fact.

Maybe. But that HDD is crap. Also, if OP did build his own he wouldn't have to buy that overpriced i3 and could get a cheaper one and a better GPU, and would be able to customize it so while it may be a okay price it has a bad price to performance ratio espesially compared to below.

Better CPU, much better GPU, better everything.

Neither did I, this comes back to reading, only this time what other people write. I acknowledged that you said it is a bad deal for a prebuilt, which I then pointed out is entirely wrong. Bigfella went one step further to piece it all up, which I did as well without posting the parts, which just goes to show even further that it is not a bad deal for a prebuilt, it is a very good deal. Of course you probably won't read this again though ;).

How do you know we are not working in Canadian dollars too? You are throwing these systems around that OP may not even be able to buy because of location, and of course because you are adding 20-50 dollars onto the budget that may not be within OP's budget. If you spend more, of course you get more, but why not wait to see if OP answers the questions asked previously - what is his location and budget?
