Can anyone help??

Hi I'm not very computer literate and need help. My girlfriend has an Asus laptop. This morning my 2 year old touched something on the keyboard and a message popped up. I can't remember exactly what it said but it was along the lines of pointer freeze activated or mouse lock on (something like that). Well as you can guess the mouse pointer locked and I haven't a clue how unlock it (reebooting doesn't work). There is obviously a quick key combination but I can't work it out. Someone please help.

This is why its always a good idea to have an external mouse handy with laptops
Also, System Restore was made for situations just like this

I had a laptop once and the touchpad decided to stop as well, I ended up reading the computer manual and finally got the "hotkey" sequence that enabled it again (Note: this after uninstalling and re-installing drivers and so forth )
