Can anyone tell me what this means?

i would get it if there was 2 blue slots and 2 black slots, but theres 3 blue slots and 2 black slots, if max is 2gb for each cpu type then why is there 5 ram slots? can the 754 do max 3GB?

what this means is that u can use 2 cpu types, a 939 cpu socket or the 754 cpu socket. you have five dimm slots. 1,2 and 3 are supported by the 939 socket and 4,5 are for the 754 socket. you cant have both of them working together since u can only have one cpu either 939 or 754. the maximum memory the moberboard supports is 2GB... so u can get 2 sticks with dual channel mem and one which is 1g. you cant go over 2gb because thats the highest ur mobo supports.you can probleby find a better motherboard. what is your budget? and do u live in the states? this motherboard design is stupid from my point of view. Rather then having 2 cpu slots u just buy the slot u want and save some cash, now if u buy a 754 and might think of an upgrade in a few years well, in a few years the 939 will be even cheapter since there will probebly be new sockets, so just get a new motherboard. this is just advice, u dont have to listen to this.
