Hi guys, i want to know something. If i had a disk which was formatted and then i put data on it, then when i tried to access it but it said the disk isn't fomrmatted, format it now? So is there any way entering that disk without wiping the data?
thanks.

not that i know of but have u tryed to open the program that holds the data (ig. word then go to open and then open the file.) second you might be able to find a program out there that could do it for u. i hope that helps

I was lead to believe either cannot be accessed if not formatted. But I'm sure theres a way to do so. You learn something new everyday

I think you are talking about a floppy disk. Usually this is a media defect and in most cases, has no solution, your data is gone probably. Use CDs better or Flash Memory, they are better transfering files and stuff between PCs and much more reliable.

The PC manufacturing guys don't want us to use floppy disks anymore just to give more room to CDs and DVDs, that's why you will find the defective rate of newly manufactured floppies very high compared to 6 to 8 years ago. I have a 3M floppy disk which I bought in 1999 or 2000 I can't remember which is still working fine till now and I am still using it, it's media is excellent just because this was the latest portable storage technology at that time, but now, it's not, so you should not use it anymore, either you want or don't want, it's obligatory.

Thanks,

well thanks for the answers, since it happened to a friend and i didn't think it was possible to, but just wanted to check since anything is possible nowadays.

Not everything is possible these days man :D You can't run NFS Underground on a 4 MB Graphics Card, that's one of the impossibles :)
