Can I Delete My "Installers"?

Hi all, I've got another question. In "My Downloads", I've got about 400 MB of icons and at least 3/4 of them are installers and set-ups. Since I've Already installed the software, is it safe to delete these?

Yeah if you already installed the software you don't need to keep it. It's up to you what to keep and delete.
 
I always keep my app installers (but save them to dvd with the rest of my archiving). Sometimes when you have a problem with an app, it may ask for the installer to be re-run from the original location. If you always use "My Downloads" for all installs that's fine.

It's worth keeping them because you may not like the next rev of the software and the version you used may not be available any more. I have numerous experiences of that.
 
Burn

It's safe to delete installers. For backup, for me, the best thing to do would be, burn the installers to a cd.
