Can I do this?

I'm on a severe budget and am trying to get the most out of my lame equipment.

My CPU is a Sempron 140, Sargas, SDX140HBK13GQ, 2.7GHz, 1024K, rev.C2 45W,SocketAM3

My motherboard is an ASUS M2N68-AM Plus.

I saw a site that claims this CPU can be unlocked to become an Athlon II X2.

Is there any way I can unlock a 2nd core with this motherboard?

I do not know if you can unlock a core with that motherboard, but that motherboard does work with the Dual-Core Athlon II 255 Processor.
