Okay my current computer:

Is decent but isnt very good for running all the new games.

So I question as to if I am capable of swapping out the current motherboard in my system with this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813128017
I don't know if it is compatible but it is exactly what I want for a motherboard.

Here are my current specs according to DXDIAG:

Errr...hmm... I doubt it would work due to it's size. I beleive the components would work in it, but HP cases are usally much smaller and require mini-ATX motherboards. I'd have to see the inside to know for sure... Also, you'd need different RAM and a video card.

Why not just upgrade your video card? That machine probably has an AGP slot, MAYBE PCIExpress...

The Pc has PCI slot. No AGP no PCI express that is the reason why I brought it to the forums. Otherwise I would definetly do that. Thing is I have DDR2 Ram, 1.512 gbs of it so I don't know if I will need to get new ram.

From what I understand I can't run all the games super smooth because of my PCI graphics card.

yeah, same with my brothers hp. they use some 20$ board and stick an amd2800 with 512mb of ram, and sell them for 750$+(you got lucky, getting a board with good ram capabilities) ..... most of the time it's not worth it to upgrade an hp. you can get a GOOD bare-bones kit from newegg for around 300$... that one would be highly upgradeable, and you can get them with good deals on vid cards and processors... your ram seems very adequite, i'm running almost that and works great (mine is only 400mhz)

Your card is NOT PCI, your computer just doesn't have the capability to expand to anything else. Your onboard card's either AGP or PCIe. The reason it can't game is just because it's a very weak GPU.

It looks as though you are using just the onboard graphics, because your ram is 504MB. Are you saying you have no AGP OR PCIe?

Im saying I put in a radeon 9250 which is a PCI card. And i have 1.512 ram because I bought an extra gig stick and installed it. And from what others have told me I have no AGP or PCI-e expansion slots.

The board has an onboard GMA900 (915G), but as already established there's an addin PCI card. Theres a related thread in video cards where we're already trying to find out what size board the case will take.
