i have a faulty agp card so ive put my pci graphics card in aswell as the agp one, and plugged the monitor into the pci card, how can i find out if my comp is reading the agp one ?

What way is it fautly? Can you still go to BIOS with the agp? Or you can't boot? Or your computer runs but you can't see anything? Details will help us help you ;)

does the PCI graphics card work ok, can you get on your PC with taht one....? If you can then im afraid your AGP card is dead.

yep it does, and i have a old 5500 agp card too that works aswell, but id thought id put the pci one in and then the faulty one in the agp slot to see if i can find anything in windows if its responing or anything

Is there any physical damage to the card (like missing capacitor), I can't think of any other to fix it, you might have to replace the card. :(

i dont know i just know it dont work in any comp, but what im asking is, while im on pci with the agp card in, can i get anything up now like if the comps readin it or not?

Well, if you set the BIOS to boot with your PCI Vidcard, you could. Try booting with your PCI card in by its self and go to BIOS to set it to boot on PCI. Then you can put in your AGP, while booting on your PCI card.

Go to device manager, and check if your AGP card is showing up in the Display Adapters. If it's not there, it might be that your card is faulty. (note that your PCI card might be there to). You can also try to update your drivers for that AGP card.
