Can I format two HDD's at the same time in XP?

I have two SATA HDD's that need to be formatted to NTFS before they go into my relatives computers as their back-up HDD's. I would like to put both of them into my machine, and use XP's Disk Management function and format both drives at the same time before I go to each of their houses and install them in their computers.

Is it possible to run these two hard drive formatting commands in parallel? Or do I have to only do one at a time?

I am going to give it a try tonight when I get home from work. Just wondering if someone knew off hand.
It seems like you should be able to, but you never know.

Thanks for the replies. But now my brand new hard drives are not recognized by my BIOS.
I have three Hard drives (all SATA) and when I unplug the third and take those connectors to my new drives, the BIOS has trouble auto-detecting both new drives.
When I first plugged in the new one, it wouldn't recognize any HDD's. Then I tried another day, and it took a bit, but the new one was configured and I could boot to windows...then XP recognized it and I rebooted. Now in the bios i get to 5th Master:...IDE Drive: an then it gives me a disk read error for the 5th. (Primary IDE is CD-Rom, Secondary IDE is DVD-ROM, 3rd Master is WD250, 4th Master is WD500, I don't know why the bios calls them IDE's, because the old ones work fine and SATA controller is enabled in BIOS.)
