getting back into making a computer....i now have the money and the time.

so...!

i just looked at the video cards for 7800's...and noticed that there are now 7900 gt's....that was fast...! but, are these worth the extra money? also, who makes the best brand? im not looking to overclock at all, and want the most reliable one. and around 300 dollars. and maybe a free game.

I would recommend Evaga or pny. The 7900gt are worth their money and they will play all games at max settings. I wouldn't recommend going with a 7800 as they are not making them anymore.
 
I have SLI EVGA 7800Gts, they workwell, but i would agree with holyjunk125; you should get the 7900 because if you're not SLIing them, they will far outperform one 7800

Sorry man but... how much better are they? :-) I am trying to get back into the swing of things with hardware so I know where my comp will stand.
