Can I have 2 Network Adapters/LAN cards?

I already have SiS 191 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter. I think it comes with the motherboard... However, it's not supported in Ubuntu (and it seems other distros have the same problem) so I'm thinking of adding another LAN card. Can I have both installed at the same time?

Hope someone has an answer :)
 
about ubuntu

im running on it at the moment,
iv found it supports alot of external adapters
im using a philips snu5200
it also seems to boost the signal on ubuntu
dunno why tho,
iv went from 45% to about 80%
