Hey guys im not really good internally with my computer. I bought skyrim for my Pc and later found my video card doesnt meet requirements to run it smooth. So i have the Dell inspiron 530s Desktop and was wondering if im able to install a video card because idk if it has a chipset or not. Right now it has Intel Pentium Dual core. Please help

Would that be able to run games like skyrim. or atleast MW3? and thats a PCI 2.1 and i have PCI 1.0. would it work?

you don't need much for MW3, But your not going to get the best settings on a 5450. look for something more like a 5770 or 6770 or even a GTS 450 would be able to max it. A 7900m GTX will max it on 1200p @ 30 ish frames per second.

Not to mention my shit 250w power supply. Can i just unhook my disk drive since i dont really use it much. im a noob srry lmfao

technically, yes. but you may need to plug it back in anyway.

You will need a new power supply period. You should not, and probably can not install a graphics card on a 250 watt power supply.

no. The Dell units and all OEM (hp, dell, gateway, and the like) are junk units. that 300 watt unit is lucky if it can output 120 watts constant. You need a 450 watt or greater from a quality brand to run a card successfully for any time at all.

read the comments and some say the cords were to short and they had to modify it to mount it. so a little weary on buying that

you may very well have to make due with the equipment you have. Your probably not going to find much in a reliable brand for a mini case like that one.
