Can some one help me make a recovery disk..I want the same thing I would pay $99.00 for at best buy is it possible to make one that has the O.S. on it? I'm using windows 7 and it's a toshiba c855-s5206...us this possible? If best can do it shouldn't I be able to do it too.

Usually on laptops, all you have to do is look under programs to see if there is a way to create recovery cd's. The owners manual should also explain how to make them.

Im pretty sure I mean recover disk???.. my last desk top from gateway had either 3 or 4 disk with it labeled gateway recovery disk. one had O.S. on it another said tools and utilites or somthing. I did find it in the user guide (recovery media creation)..thank you. allot. O yea should I do a back up even though theres nothing on computer..went online once to reg norton anti virus

All you need is to make the recovery cd's. Thats basically what best buy does and charge you for something you could have done yourself. The recovery cd's are used when disaster strikes and your hard drive fails so you can reinstall windows all preinstalled apps back on to a new hard drive.

Now if you are talking about backing up your data, thats a different thing. You can create an image of your OS and installed programs and data and store it on an external drive and then when the hard drive fails or you need to reinstall windows, you can reimage the drive and be back up and running in less than 30 minutes. You can use Acronis True Image software to do this.
