Hello.....I have a quick question about memory. I have 512 (2x256) MB of Dual Channel DDR Ram (PC3200 CL3 184-pin DIMM) in my computer right now (on my Soyo P4I865PE Dragon 2 MOBO, they're situated in each outside slot in order for the Dual Channel to work). So, I have 1 slot left in the middle. If I were to add a single stick of ram (either 512 or 1024-DDR PC3200), would the Dual Channel feature of the other 2 slots be disabled ???? I want to upgrade my memory and want the best bang for my buck. Thanks in advance for any advice !!!

You can add that 512MB stick but you'll lose your Dual Channel. WHeather or not you benifit more from the RAM or the dual channel is dependent on your usage although id say its probable you'd benifit from the increased memory

Read the manual of the mobo first some allow to have the third to be another size but must be the same Latency (CL).

They all allow a third however you will lose Dual channel regardless
