Can I over cloak my pc?

I got a emachien cuz I was told its 1.6dcore could be jacked up by a friend.
Well once I got it I find I cant over cloak it cuz its a pre packed computer.

Now I'm a gammer but know very little about computers so if there is a way around to over clock this I dont know it.


Any one understand my rambling enough to answer?
 
I understand, sort of, and your answer is no, you cannot overclock it.

Most OEM pc builders don't enable overclocking in their BIOS.
 
What model emachine is it?

You may be stuck with an non-upgradeable turd,
depending on the RAM capacity and graphics slot.
 
I'm at 2 gigs of ram should I go to 4?
What type of card would you use?

Correct yes!

If you want to upgrade your graphics card you mey need to also bget another Power supply so that it can power your new graphocs card.

The one you have in there now probably wont be enough to power anything higher.

I would look into a 9600GT or something,But we need to know what your Power supply is and a budget to work with.
 
It seems your PC comes with a 1440x900 resolution monitor correct?

If so id drop the resolution to 1024x768 and see if you get better frame rates.

The CPU is only 1.6ghz dual-core and from past emachines they almost never can handle a GPU upgrade they are very cheap PSU (reason why they are so affordable)

WoW is more CPU demanding then GPU...WoW only used 50% of my 8800GT @ 1440x900 this is with a 3.2ghz dual-core I noticed the biggest FPS jumps as I raised my CPU speed from 2.4ghz to 3.2ghz.
 
should I call nvidia an ask them what they would have that works with my pc or some thing?

The reolustion change. You mean like in game settings or?
