Can i put my 8800gts in the 2nd slot so its farther from the processor?

i thought if i did this perhaps it would all run cooler maybe ?? Would it be a big deal to move the vid card to the 2nd slow on my m2n32-sli deluxe asus motherboard??? its been running at like 70 degrees Celsius the vid card and the processor im not exactly sure but the case gets to 140degrees Fahrenheit. If i can do this would it effect speeds or anything that i should know about?? Thank you

I wouldn't have thought it would affect temperatures that much, it would depend on the design of your case and where your fans are really... Yes it would work in the 2nd slot, as long as its still a PCI-e x16 then it will be fine.

Oh and 70*c for an 8800GTS isnt that obscene, in fact its nothing to be worrying about, graphics cards like this are supposed to be that hot.

well then i dunno why laitly my screen goes black for a moment then turns back on it never did that before untill i tried replacing the fan and the one i bought i had to RMA back to newegg because it did not fit so i had to re-thermal it and screw the old one back on i dunno..i guess maybe it has to do with the software maybe cuz it does it while im playing pc games and its only a split second like a flicker. any ideas then?
