can I run a 3.0mb/s hard drive on my 1.5mb/s MB?

Hey guys, just wanted to get your opinion of something. I'm currently looking at buying a Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500AAKS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive. The motherboard in the machine it's for, is an asrock p4vm890, and it only supports sata hard drive interfaces up to 1.5mb/s. Can I still use the WD caviar? I'm thinking that it will come with a pin that limits the interface to 1.5mb/s until I remove it, is that the case? Thanks in advance for your time.

Even if it doesn't have a jumper to limit the speed it should still work. SATA3.0 and 1.5 are compatible with each other.
