Can I use my current copy of Win7 on a new notebook

In order to save some money when ordering a new computer from Xotic PC, I was wondering if my current copy of Windows 7 is able to be installed on a new machine. It is an OEM version and the product key is stickied to the bottom of my current notebook (Macbook pro w/ Bootcamp) for activation.

So basically, if I delete the Windows 7 partition on my computer will I be able to use the same OEM disc and activation code to install it a new one? Thanks

My question to you Johnb. can i install a retail windows 7 pro
on another computer and activate and buy a new key for this.
Just curious about it and how it works. Any cheaper maybe.
Or just buy another retail as needed. Whats a cheap way to
do it?

The easiest way is to just purchase a new install dvd that has the key already with it. You used to be able to buy just the key online but I can't find the link for it anymore. If I remember correctly there wasn't that much difference in price anyway.

for the record i did chat but said i had to call support for this.
