From what I gather from VideoLan - I'm foggy on if a dvd region2 can be played...http://www.videolan.org/support/faq.html

The player which is LG MDisc.
VLC ver 2.1.3.
Windows 7

Anyone with this LG able to play these?

Would be better to determine if so, if possible, before buying a disc I like that happens to be a region2, and is only available as a 2.

Looks like you can set dvd regions for the player within Windows7 device mgr.
Under device properties - BUT, this can only be done 4 times.

Even if moving player to another pc or reinstall windows!

Just bought a LG M-Disc drive a couple of days ago. If you purchase and install AnyDVD, your DVD-ROM will be region free, meaning you can change regions without any limitation.

Or try the open source media player VLC.
VLC is one of the free software DVD players that ignores DVD region coding on RPC-1 firmware drives, making it a region-free player. However, it does not do the same on RPC-2 firmware drives, as in these cases the region coding is enforced by the drive itself, however, it can still brute-force the CSS encryption to play a foreign-region DVD on an RPC-2 drive.
