Can not create cirect show player?? Whats this?

Every time i try to play a movie on the internet, this annoying pop-up comes up "Can not create Direct Show player". Then I exit out of it and the video doesnt play. Whats this and how do i get rid of it?

Sounds like a codec player.You should install all codecs needed by your media player.
