can only veiw in lowest colour/res

hey guys,if anyone seen my last post i couldn't get into windows
i now with reinstalled drivers can only veiw in lowest colour (4bit) and the lowest resolution

im boggled,i do not now how to go about fixing this

What GFX is it? You have the LATEST drivers? And CORRECT drivers?

i have the xfx 8800 gt xt alpha dog version

im pretty sure i got the latest drivers/correct

Hmm... The GT drivers have not fully matured yet, unlike the GTS (G80), GTX, Ultra, ect., which had time to be rewritten...

Try a older version of the drivers... it might just be a poorly written new driver...

And are you using CD Drivers? Or straight from www.nvidia.com ?

i used them from cd and the xfx site.

at first there was no problem see.but then i was friggen with sli.i had to go into f8 and enable vga mode? because i couldn't veiw windows. but it boot up fine.it probably has something to do with that

any other ideas?

You have the cards in SLi? If so, take one out. Does it work?
